Barium fluoride (BaF2) has an optical transmittance close to 90% in the 200-9500nm spectrum. Usually used in cryogenic imaging system, laser optical system lens, beam splitter, filter, prism and window. The material has some water solubility and is only suitable for use in dry environments.
